June 15, morning. Rowena Laque Bangcat , 49, businesswoman, Baptist Road, Brgy. Mangnao, Dumaguete City. The victim and her husband were near their home, riding their motorcycle, when suspects riding in tandem opened fire and shot her in the head and the neck.
June 16, 9:30PM. Harrison “Harry” Kalubiran Gonzales, 52, barangay chairman, Barangay 1-Tinago, Dumaguete City. The victim was on duty at the barangay outpost when a man riding motorcycle shot him dead. The killer was accompanied by four other persons riding separate motorcycles.
June 23. Sherwin Gabo, a volunteer member of Siaton Rescue Team, Siaton. The victim was riding his motorcycle was shot dead by riding in tandem at Barangay 2, Siaton.
June 24. Feliciano Canafuego Trosa, 56, barangay councilor, Brgy. Nagbinlod, Sta. Catalina. The victim was riding his motorcycle on his way home when a man came out from an abandoned house and shot him dead.
July 1. Cpl. Mark Anthony Quiocson, soldier belonging to 62th Infantry Batallion, Philippine Army, was ambushed and killed by members of the New People’s Army at So. Compound, Brgy. Luz, Guihulngan City.
July 9, 11:30PM. Police Staff Sergeant (PSSgt.) Bobster Guillarawan, First Provincial Mobile Force Company, Brgy. Napacao, Siaton, was shot dead by riding in tandem at Brgy. 1, Siaton. The victim was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
July 21, 2:50PM. Jimmer (“Jimer” or “Jemer”) Fundador and Romeo “Omic” Dungo-an, 43, swine traders from Brgy. Pacuan, La Libertad. The victims were shot dead in an ambush at Sitio Mandi-e, Brgy. Magsaysay, Guihulngan City. They went to the area to buy swine. The perpetrators used high powered firearms. On July 21, 2017, Guihulngan City Chief of Police Supt. Arnel Arpon, five of his men and one civilian were killed in an ambush by the New People’s Army at the same place.
July 22, 10:40AM. Joel Daza, 51, tricycle driver, Brgy. Poblacion, Guihulngan City. The victim was flagged down and then shot dead by two unidentified suspects at Sitio Bato, Brgy. Malusay, Guihulngan City.
July 22. Ronald Balsimo, 60, former barangay tanod, So. Kabangahan, Brgy. Bago, Tayasan, was shot in the stomach but in stable condition as of July 23.
July 24. Eldeson “Eldeth” Marturillas , So. Compound, Brgy. Luz, Guihulngan City, was driving his motorcycle when shot dead by unidentified suspects at So. Proper, Brgy. Luz, Guihulngan City.
July 25. Alex Lim, a job order employee of the Guihulngan City Local Government, was snot dead by riding in tandem at So. Looc, Brgy. Poblacion, Guihulngan City.
Aug. 2, 2020, 7AM. Bienvenido “Ben” Mascardo, Sr., 67, Juan Luna Street, Brgy. 2, Bais City. The victim was shot dead by suspects riding on two motorcycles at corner Mabini and Laurel Streets, Bais City.
Aug. 3, 2020. Russell Ayunting, 38, habalhabal driver, Brgy. Calamba, Guihulngan City. The victim was shot dead at crossing Brgy. Bulado, Guihulngan City.
Aug. 8, 2020. A shooting incident was reported in Brgy. Nagbalaye, Sta. Catalina. The victim was watching a game of billiard when he was shot and wounded by three suspects.
Aug. 8, 2020, 11:30AM. A certain “Kent” was shot and wounded by unidentified suspects at Brgy. Daro, Dumaguete City.
Aug. 16, 2020. Elmo Cardinas , 52, a former member of the New People’s Army, was shot dead at Brgy. Talalak, Sta. Catalina, by members of the Rachelle Mae Palang Command – NPA Southeast Negros.
Aug. 16, 2020. A fish vendor was shot and wounded by suspects riding in tandem at Habitat 1, Brgy. Balugo, Dumaguete City.
Aug. 27, 2020. Virgilio “Beyok” Ibale Diangco, Sr., employee of Provincial Engineering Department, Negros Oriental, resident of Brgy. Cawitan, Sta. Catalina. The victim was shot and killed by riding in tandem in front of the Negros Oriental State University campus in Brgy. Caranoche, Bayawan City.
